Hi all, I'm back again, but this time I am just showing an image that I coloured. The image is by Heather Valentin of Lacy Sunshine. OMG...she has the most adorable images. Right now she had a challenge happening on her Facebook page Lacy Sunshine's Colour and Craft Club. The challenge is a colouring challenge where you are given a pallet and you colour an image with that pallet...and it is between 2 teams...Team Heather (the one I went with) and Team Jackie.

So the colour palette for Team Heather is as follows:
Image may contain: food

I didn't have the exact colour for the yellow/gold/ yellow green so hopefully they will accept the one that I had. Blue was also put in as a colour after this was posted. A Lacy Sunshine image is required for this challenge. The idea is to make the image look like Christmas, even if it isn't a Christmas image (like if you decide to use a mermaid). The image that I chose is a Christmas image...it is called Rory's Christmas Poinsettia. I loved this image as soon as I saw it. You can find this sweet image at Heather's Store here. #LSChristmasinjuly Team Heather.
I coloured her with a combination of my Copics, Chameleon pens and my white pen. I'm hoping to get this onto a card in the near future as it is too cute to just leave in a drawer somewhere. I hope that I have inspired you to drop in to join in on the fun.

Thanks for stopping by,

Charlene

Hi all, wow, it has been so long since I was last on my blog. A lot has been happening since then. We put our townhouse up for sale, sold it, bough a new house and built a suite in it for my mother in law. We got everyone moved in and started working on figuring out how to put 1744 sq. ft. of stuff into just over 1400 sq. ft...needless to say I am doing a lot of purging. I have been patiently (read this as chomping at the bit) for my husband and son to bring my crafting tables and storage up to my new crafting area...and they finally did it last weekend...yippee!! I have been able to start unloading all of the many boxes of my crafting supplies...just to find out that I am missing the box with my Cricket and the cable for my Silhouette machine. OMG...I never realized how much I depended on these things for making my cards. But, I had to make a card for my daughter's birthday so...I had to do it old school...yikes!! No die cuts, or anything cut using my Silhouette...just whatever I could do with my paper cutter.

The image is from Conie Fong Art and Design called Molly Fairy. I won her in a name this image contest held by Conie. I coloured her with my Koh-I-Noor pencil crayons (can't wait to find my Prisma pencil crayons). I don't think she turned out too bad but I sure have forgotten a lot over the last months...it's like having to start all over again. Hopefully it will all start coming back to me as I continue.

I will have to get back to you on who the sentiment is by as my computer and external hard drive are not playing nice together.

Thanks so much for stopping to visit me again.  I hope that I will be on here a lot more in t he near future.

Believe in the Miracle of Christmas

Hi all, I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was a very busy one with my mom here from out of town and 10 people for dinner in my little townhouse. But, crowded though it was, we had a great time. We are now looking forward to New Years Eve and the start of a new year. We wish you all a fabulous upcoming year filled with love, laughter and prosperity.

Today starts a new challenge at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge. It is my favorite type of challenge...Anything Goes...and the twist is...Anything Goes! I have the great privilege of being a Guest Designer for this challenge that is being sponsored by PPinkyDolls. If you haven't checked out Chris Hanthi's images you should head over there and do so.

The image that I had to play with is called Cold Days. I just loved this image, the little dog on it reminds me of my own little dog Molly. And it was so much fun to colour and design a card for. I paired my card with a Stampin' Up sentiment that I have. The sentiment on the front of the card is a freebie I got from Crafty Cat 957.

I used dp and cs that I had in my stash. I know that the cs is from Bazzil but not sure about the dp. I cut out the frame for the inside using my Nestibilities Decorative Labels One. The poinsettia flourish is from my Spellbinders Holiday Set. I made the Christmas tree using a tutorial that I found on line here. The card fold is called a Tunnel card, unfortunately I can't find the tutorial for this again.

We hope that you will join us at The Outlawz Challenges for Twisted Thursday. You do have to become a member but no worries, it's free.

Thanks for visiting my blog ~ Charlene

A Beary Merry Christmas

Hi all, I'm back again with another adorable image. This time my image is from Art by Barb. The image was offered free on Kit and Clowder recently and Art by Barb has an awesome challenge that you can enter it in. You can still get the image on Kit and Clowder and enter the challenge until Dec. 12. If you missed the image as a freebie, you can always pick it up in her online store and while you're there check out all of her other incredible images.

The image is called Bearing Gifts and is just so sweet. I decided to make a gatefold card with it to give to my husband's boss and his wife for Christmas...they loved it.

The base of the card is a celery colour by Bazzil. My Santa dp is something I picked up at my local dollar store and the vine die's and poinsettia's are from my Spellbinders Holiday set. I coloured the image with a combination of my Chameleon Markers and Copic Markers. I added some Star Dust Stickles to the hats and some rhinestones that I had in my stash. The sentiment is by Michelle Perkett Studio.

Thanks for visiting ~ Charlene

I'm back!!

Hi all, I know, it's been a long time since I last posted. Life has had quite a few ups and downs lately. But I'm back and hopefully this will be the first of many new posts.

The Outlaws Challenges is having a progressive freebie challenge and the fabulous image has been provided by Di's Digi Designs and is called Sunflower Mouse. This image is just too cute for words and as soon as I saw it I knew that I had to make a card for my mother in law's upcoming birthday with it.
Isn't it just the most adorable image? So I scoured the internet and found that fabulous dp at Lilac-n- Lavender . I printed the image on white cardstock, colored it with my Chameleon pens and then fussy cut it and glued it onto the dp. The ribbon and rhinestones were in my stash.
This is the inside of the card again using the paper I found at Lilac-n-Lavender and with sentiments by Nana Vic's Digitals.

If you would like to join in on The Outlaws Progressive Challenge you can join them here. You will have to become a member but it's free and they even have a few freebie images!

Thanks for popping in ~ Charlene

Anniversary Wishes

Wow, it's been quite a long time since I was last on here. Thank you for having patience with me as I have been spending the last few months just being with my family. My crafting time has been down to pretty much nothing lately but I am hoping that that is going to change soon. I think I may have finally started getting some of my inspiration back again...keep your fingers crossed.

So my mother in law and father in law just celebrated their 59th Anniversary recently...59 years, wow! Not many people can say that they have been happily married for that many years. My parents made it to their 60th Anniversary and what a wonderful milestone it was. So of course I had to come out of hibernation and make a card for the in laws. I started out with a card cut file freebie from Birds Cards called a Swirly Deep Edged Card that I cut using my Silhouette. I then added this adorable freebie bride and groom by Jade Dragonne at Deviant Art.

I coloured the image with my Chameleon pens (please excuse the guy's face...I had a problem lol). I added ribbon from SU and little rhinestones in my stash. The yellow cs is by Bazzil, the white is Recollections and the dp is also from Deviant Art. The sentiment is my own made with some of the words from the Anniversary song. The fancy square behind the image is from my Nestibilities Labels One Small.
The corners on the inside were punched with a Martha Stewart punch...not sure what it's called as I got it second hand. I found this wonderful sentiment for the inside on Splitcoast Stampers. Thank you so much for popping in. Hugs ~ Charlene
